Captain Black pipe tobacco was first manufactured in America in 1972 by the Lane Limited company in an effort to offer pipe smokers a quality tobacco with a rich flavor and aroma. Captain Black pipe tobacco is the most popular pipe tobacco in America.

Σαν ένας πιό αδύναμος Royal (της ίδιας μάρκας). Αυτό δεν σημαίνει όμως ότι δεν είναι ένας πάρα πολύ καλός καπνός.
