VEGUEROSIn 1961, the Francisco Donatien factory in the Rinar der Rio Province in  Cuba, started the cigar production for local consumption as a supplement to cigarette produce. These cigars were made mainly for national holidays and other public events and became known as the Vegueros from the landowners and workers in the tobacco and the sugar cane plantations of Cuba. The first foreigners to try them out were the tourists who were shown the plantations. In 1997 they were launvhed for the first time in the foreign market from Habanos.They have a rich flavor and are considered of medium to full intensity.
