To celebrate her 50th Anniversary Cohiba presented 2016 Medio Siglo. In Spanish Siglo means century, Medio SIglo means “half century”.

It’s the first petit Robusto of Cohiba and it’s characterised from a soft sweetness which is in harmony with bitter notes. It still has earthy fragrances as well as cedar.

Individually  packaged in a cedar lined Aluminium tube. The cedar lined tube gives the cigar that added flavour and depth whilst the tube keeps the cigar fresh and ready to smoke for many months.

It was created in 1966 for President Fidel Castro himself and was made at the then top secret but now world famous El Laguito factory. At first, it was only seen outside Cuba as gifts for heads of state and visiting diplomats.

Since 1982 Cohiba has been available in limited quantities to the open market.
