Description
Punch Regios de Punch is a new Edicion Limitada Habanos coming from Cuba. Its presented in SLB’s 25 cigars and thats only the second time that Punch releases a Limited Edition ( Punch Serie D’Oro No. 2 was the first time). Its a new vitola for the commercial brand and as usual the cigars have maduro wrapper and they are decorated with a second ring. Its tobacco has been selected from some of the finest plantations of the four main Cuban tobacco growing areas and all leaves has been aged for at least two years in packages before being wrapped. It has an excellent manufacture that allows a delightfull and balanced smoking.
Its a creamy and smooth cigar, comparing to a regular Punch, with vegetal, herbal notes of light density of smoke with no biterness. With creamy texture, freshness of the blend which has notes of almond, nuts and dark cocoa bean flavors consistent a special, delightfull cigar. The strength increases slightly and flavors become richer with a very pleasant woodiness.

Punch is one of the very oldest Habano brands. Don Manuel Lopez of Juan Valle & Co founded it in the mid 19th Century with an eye to the booming British market where a humorous magazine of the same name was much in vogue. A contented Mr Punch, the clown who personified the magazine, is still featured in every box, cigar in hand, and surrounded by 19th Century images of cigar making that remain virtually unchanged over a century and a half later. In 1925 the Punch moved to the factory where Hoyo de Monterrey was made and
this long association continues to the present day. Punch’s distinct medium flavour created with a blend of tobaccos from the Vuelta Abajo region is available in a wide variety of sizes “totalmente a mano, tripa larga” – totally hand made, long filler.
