The Romeo y Julieta company takes its name from the tragic lovers of William Shakespeare and was created in 1875. It gained international fame in the early 20th century under the guidance of Don “Pepin” Fernandez, a talented marketer.

They began manufacturing in 1875 by Innocencio Alvarez and Mannin Garcia. They quickly showcased their quality by winning gold medals at four international exhibitions between 1885 and 1900. However, their real rise began in 1903 after their acquisition by Jose Rodriguez Fernandez. They took their name from the work of William Shakespeare and offer a wide range of shapes and sizes.
