Description
The creation of Toscanello is associated with the end of World War II, to be precise, it was introduced to the market in 1948. At that time, there was a large volume of Toscano cigars in storage, and it was decided to cut some of them in half to be sold at half price. Since then, the number of Toscanello smokers has been constantly increasing.
Its small length further emphasizes the characteristics of the tobacco. Essentially, Toscanello cigars are half-sized Toscano cigars, exclusively made with Italian Kentucky tobacco both in the wrapper leaf and in the filler. Toscanello cigars were created as a more affordable option for Italians who loved Toscano cigars.

In 1818, the Grand Duke of Tuscany, Ferdinand III, founded a tobacco factory that manufactured Toscano cigars. The Toscano cigar has a characteristic elliptical shape with turncated ends that have a smaller diameter than the central part (belly). Typically, the Toscano cigar has an uneven, sometimes lumpy, surface, with noticeable ribs of the wrapping leaves. These irregularities in structure are more evident in hand-rolled cigars and are not seen as defects, but characteristics of the Toscano cigar. Today, Toscano brand cigars are manufactured by Manifatture Sigaro Toscano SpA located in Lucca and Cava De Tirreni.
