Description
Trinidad Robusto Extra is one of the most distinctive cigars in the brand’s history, carrying a story that has shaped its reputation. It was first introduced in 2004 during the expansion of the Trinidad line and quickly gained recognition for its elongated Robusto format. Production was discontinued in 2012, a pause that increased its desirability among collectors. In 2024, it returned to regular production with updated presentation and limited releases, celebrating its heritage and refined identity.
Crafted entirely by hand using long-filler leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region, the cigar follows the Dobles (T) vitola. Its generous size delivers a slow and even burn, allowing the blend to unfold gradually. The first draws bring earthy notes, light wood and a soft natural sweetness. The strength develops from medium to full, while the middle section reveals cocoa, roasted nuts and gentle spices. The finish is long, aromatic and balanced, offering richness without heaviness.

The company took its name from the beautiful 16th-century city of La Santisima Trinidad, located on the southern coast of Cuba and designated by UNESCO as a historical monument. It was founded in 1969 and for many years its cigars were reserved exclusively as diplomatic gifts for foreign delegations. The brand became more widely available in 1998, though still in limited quantities.
Its cigars are handmade (“totalmente a mano”) and produced using the long-filler method (“tripa larga”).
