Description
Vauen often
takes cues from the Danish school when fashioning their shapes, and that really
shows in this half-bent Acorn. Soft and gentle lines define the piece, the lifted
heel lending the bowl a touch of forward momentum. It feels natural in hand and
wears a classy finish, pairing a brown color palette with nice grains of the wood. The mouthpiece is acrylic in black color.

Vauen was founded as Vereinigte Pfeifenfabriken in Nuremberg in 1901 and is the biggest smoking pipes manufacturer.
In the search for a more recognizable brand name, Ernst Eckert, son of Adolf Eckert renamed the company to VAUEN.
VAUEN was one of the first manufacturers that inserted a simple paper filter in 1921. More research and development lead Dr. Perl junior to the active charcoal filter with a 9 mm diameter that was first introduced in 1934 as a worldwide innovation. A huge success!
After 1945 the company, managed to overcome the catastrophic consequences of the war with an innovative spirit. VAUEN became a company with worldwide fame.
It is time for a Vauen !
