After many years of trials and intensive work, the master blenders of CAO are reintroducing a forgotten tobacco fermentation technique, the round Pilon.
The practice of Pilon fermentation dates back to the 19th century, where tobacco leaves are carefully placed in small stacks with a round arrangement. This process of natural fermentation maximizes the aroma and color of the leaves to offer a taste and appearance unparalleled by other methods. The method is applied to the Ecuadorian Habanos seed wrappers and rewards us with a rich and complex flavor. Therefore, for all the above, a return to a traditional fermentation technique is worthwhile!
