The Perez-Carrillo family, with roots in Cuba, faced difficulties due to the Cuban Revolution, which led them to flee to Miami. Ernesto Sr. established himself in Miami’s cigar industry after purchasing the El Credito factory. His son, Ernesto Jr., initially pursued jazz music but eventually embraced cigar production, founding La Gloria Cubana, which achieved great success, particularly after receiving high ratings from Cigar Aficionado. Ernesto Jr. later founded E.P. Carrillo with his children, continuing the family’s legacy. The company’s dedication to quality and tradition is evident in the variety of its blends.
