The Fonseca No. 1 is the largest format currently produced under the Fonseca brand. It features a Cazadores vitola – measuring 162mm by a 43 ring gauge. It’s an inexpensive Cuban cigar that delivers a smoking experience that can rival the most eminent equivalents. It delivers a medium-bodied smoke with prominent flavours of wood and pepper.

Don Francisco Fonseca founded his brand in the 1890s. A handsome man, who cared deeply for appearances, he passed his artorial precision on to his cigars, which he dressed in silky tissue paper – a tradition that continues to this day on the four Habanos sizes that bear his name. Fonseca’s light blend of tobaccos are from the Vuelta Abajo region. All sizes of Fonseca are “totalmente a mano” — totally hand made with three being “tripa larga’”or long filler and one ‘tripa corta’ or short filler.
