The Rafael González Petit Coronas was released prior to 1960. It is a current production cigar. Subtly pressed with an attractive wrapper and good draw. The smoke is leathery and woody with some herbal toasty notes and a long, medium-bodied finish. A relatively unknown hidden gem that shouldn’t be missed by any Habano aficionado.

Rafael Gonzalez company was found in 1930. For the first time in this company the cigars with the factory name Cervantes and dimensions: ring 42/ length 165mm took the name Lonsdale from Lord Lonsdale, a famous English athlete and cigar lover at that time. Since then many other companies have been using this name. On the box there is a strange inscription in English stating that cigars should be smoked within one month from the date of dispatch from Havana otherwise they should ripen carefully for about a year. Rafael Gonzalez’s cigars have a light blend of Vuelta Abajo’s growing area tobacco leaves. All are hand-made “totalmente a mano” and some of them short filler «tripa corta».
