The Montecristo Puritos cigarillos are medium intensity cigars quite a bit larger than the Montecristo minis. They are made by the famous Habanos company and certainly retain the spicy flavors we are used to. They are perfect for a quick break.

Montecristo cigars most likely took their name from Alexandre Dumas’ novel “The Count of Monte Cristo.” The company was founded in 1935 by Menendez and Garcia y Cia, owners of H. Upmann at the time, and was promoted in the market by Alfred Dunhill in London. It became the most popular brand of Havana cigars and has since been a benchmark for comparison with all others. They have gained their reputation thanks to the technique used for the balanced blending of flavors. The company offers a wide range, including the most famous pyramid-shaped cigar, the Montecristo No. 2. The flavor of Montecristo cigars is a characteristic blend of earthy tones, rich and chocolatey texture, and they have a distinctively “melancholic” aroma of spices, vanilla, and patchouli.

Κάπνισα ένα πακετάκι και όλα καιγόντουσαν μονόπλευρα και έσβηναν εύκολα. Αρώματα και γεύσεις σε πολύ μικρές δόσεις και με διαλείμματα, μια και είχα συνέχεια άναψε-σβήσε.
Ίσως του δώσω μια ακόμη ευκαιρία πριν το καταδικάσω. Για την ώρα 6/10.
