MONTECRISTOThe Montecristo cigars have in all likelihood taken their name by the novel of Alexander Douma  «Earl Montecristo».The company was founded in 1935 by Menendez and  Garcia y Cia, which at the time were owners of H. Upmann, and was promoted to the market by Alfred Dunhill in London. It became the most popular cigar brand of Havana and ever since it is a measure of comparison for all others. They have won their fame due to the technique which is used for the balanced mixture of the flavors. The company possesses a wide variety, including the most famous cigar in the shape of a pyramid, of Montecristo No2. The flavor of Montecristo are a characteristic mixture of earth tones, rich and chocolate texture, and have a characteristic  «melancholic» aroma from spices, vanilla and patchouli.
